AAUW is an international network of more than 150,000 members and 1000 branches, and 500 college/university institution partners. For 130 years, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day ---- educational, social, economic and political. AAUW's mission is advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.

The topic of discussion is Paul Singh's upcoming release of " Discovering Our World: Humanity's Epic Journey from Myth to Knowledge" . The Book has devoted a section of a chapter on how myths propagandized by religions have deliteriously affected the fundamental equality for women throughout human history.
